The T-One Schildkröt training ball has been very popular for decades, both for school sports and for beginner training, as well as for recreational games, when large quantities are needed. This is the new version of the T-One, in Poly 40+, now without celluloid. The classic celluloid balls were gradually replaced by the new plastic/polyethylene balls since the tournaments in July 2014. The current plastic balls have absolutely comparable game characteristics to the old balls and identical quality and durability, but are significantly more enviroment respectful in its manufacture. Therefore, the change was initiated by the ITTF, which can be recognized by the + behind 40 (40 means the diameter). 40+ is, therefore, always and uniformly a plastic/polyethylene ball for all manufacturers.
